Senators approve bill obliging operators to report to watchdog

MOSCOW, Jul 8 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federation Council, the parliament’s upper house, approved on Friday a bill obliging connection operators to submit an annual electronic report on their activities to the communications service or have their licenses revoked.

The bill amends the law on connection.

The report must contain information about the operator’s network, means of connection used by the operator in the network, and connection services provided.

The operator can lose the license if it fails to report to the watchdog or provides a knowingly incomplete statement or unreliable information and if it has not been providing services for more than six months.
